The medical news podcast for the people.
#SiblingDocsVibePodcast

“I know it can be difficult getting information from physicians who may not have the time at the bedside or in the office to discuss and explain as much as they would like to. So, even before the pandemic, I would frequently hear people ask medically related questions on TV and this frequently concerned me. So now, in the midst of the pandemic, it’s more important than ever that individuals connect with health care providers. Even though we have platforms like tele-medicine apps, this format can help address medical questions or concerns – particularly those that affect communities of color.“
Dr. Deborah Dean
“My motivation for doing this podcast is to really be able to provide reliable medical information on important topics for the community at large, and in particular, for communities of color, from an African American physicians perspective. One of the bigger things for me, and this is always a pet peeve of mine, is listening to medical information from doctors who are not practicing physicians. So, they have the information, but how does that really jive with the patients? If you are not talking to patients one on one, you may only get a flavor of what people are concerned about….So, the podcast hopefully will serve to give that information from the perspective of doctors who are living it and doing it every day.”
